Archie is the co-founder and CEO of MelaninMD, the St. Paul health technology company he launched in 2023 to apply AI to long-overlooked problems in clinical care. He holds a BA in psychology with a minor in business from Elon University and completed two years of medical school at American University of Antigua, alongside nanoparticle research for cancer treatment at the University of Minnesota. He was named to the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal's 2025 40 Under 40 and to Twin Cities Business's 2026 Notable Health Care Leaders, and is a 2024 alumnus of the NASA and Brown Venture Group program.

Neonatologist and Professor of Pediatrics at Mayo Clinic, where he is a consultant in the Division of Neonatal Medicine and Interim Associate Chair of Pediatric Education. His research uses large retrospective cohort studies to characterize neonatal intensive care and the clinical outcomes that matter to patients. Trained at Brown, Stanford, and UCSF.
